Our Favorite French Holiday Books

  1.  Holiday Goddess handbag guide to…Paris, London, New York and Rome edited by Jessica Adams
This is a fun “travel guide” that gives tips on the best things to see in four major European cities. It has a particularly fabulous chapter on Paris!
  2. My French Life by Vicki Archer
This is a wonderful book in general, and especially for someone in your life who loves “All Things French!” This is the perfect gift for any occasion. Vicki shares her experiences of a French Christmas in Paris, and there are great photographs, including one of the Place Vendôme decorated for the holidays.

  3.  Les Recettes de la Saison (Recipes of the Season)
A holiday cookbook from the chefs of “La Madeleine” and chef/cooking class instructor extraordinaire Susan Herrmann Loomis. Susan is a friend of mine who is originally from the Pacific Northwest. When she is visiting her family she instructs cooking classes in the Portland, Oregon, or Seattle, Washington, area. Susan has written many books on her own and also co-authored with Patricia Wells. If you have a chance, check out her website onruetatin.com for cooking classes at her home in Louviers and Paris, France.

  4.  The Night Before Christmas in Paris by Betty Lou Phillips and Roblyn Herndon
This is a charming story about Santa discovering the magic of Paris at Christmas as he frantically searches the City of Lights for a missing Mrs. Claus. Will she be found in time to help him and the elves deliver toys to children all over the world?

And… purchase my book Ooh la la! French Inspirations for Entertaining and Travel for your favorite foodie or Francophile, available here.
