We, Karen and Terre, are friends who met at a Gourmet Dinner Club in 2005, where we realized that we both had a passion for entertaining and travel. Since then we have worked together arranging dinners and parties from our travel inspirations and more. We have traveled together to Italy and France several times.
After taking many photos of entertaining events and Paris adventures, I am sharing them with you through both this blog and my upcoming book, Ooh la la! French Inspirations for Entertaining & Travel. The blog will give you a peek into my latest trip to Paris and a hint of what you will discover in our soon-to-be-released book.
Karen and Terre both live in Oregon. Karen has been an interior designer since 1976, and she owns a residential and commercial interior design company and a private travel company. Karen is also an accomplished photographer and tour guide. She is a lover and collector of all things French: tea, chocolate, cheese, wine, champagne, china, table linens, flowers, books, fabrics, art and antiques, and more! Her collections and inspirations are a great resources for her table designs, and home entertaining.
Terre and her husband retired from running their men’s clothing store after 50 plus years, where she was the merchandise buyer and did visual displays within the store. Her passion is dining at the world’s top restaurants (and yes, Karen and Terre have both eaten at “Frenchies” in Paris!). Terre also loves wine and cheese tasting, entertaining, table setting design, and herb gardening.
Karen and Terre both love their families, grandchildren and friends, and spend most of their free time with them.
